Activation
In Klarnow's campaign language, an activation is a planned audience experience that leads to a useful action and measurable follow-through. It may happen at an event, through a partnership or within a digital journey. Attendance, attention, registrations and completed customer actions should be measured separately rather than bundled into one success claim.
Why it matters for your business
An activation becomes commercially useful when there is a clear reason for the audience to act and a dependable route after that action. A logo placement alone does not establish customer acquisition.
A business example
An event directs interested businesses to a relevant call demonstration, with an agreed way to capture enquiries and follow up afterwards.
Illustrative example.Your next step
Define the audience action, the next handover and the evidence that will show whether it happened.
