Missed call

A missed call is an incoming telephone call that does not reach an answer on the intended route. It might happen because the line is busy, the team is unavailable or the business is closed. A call log shows an attempt to make contact; it does not prove that the caller became a lost sale.

Why it matters for your business

Review missed calls alongside callbacks and outcomes. That shows where cover or a faster response could help, without treating every unanswered number as revenue you would definitely have earned.

A business example

A tradesperson misses three calls while working. One is an existing customer, one is a supplier and one is a new quote request. Each needs a different response.

Illustrative example.

Your next step

Review a real week's missed calls and record the reason, callback owner and eventual outcome.
