Table booking

A table booking reserves restaurant capacity for a particular party and time once the restaurant accepts it. The booking record should include the details needed to manage the visit and any questions requiring staff attention. Taking an enquiry over the phone is different from checking live capacity and reserving a table in the restaurant's system.

Why it matters for your business

A clear enquiry-to-confirmation process helps staff balance guests already in the room with people trying to book. It also reduces ambiguity over whether a requested time is available.

A business example

A six-person request is captured during service. Staff check the seating plan and confirm a suitable time through the restaurant's agreed process.
